Best Selling NFL Rivals For Ticket Brokers and Fans
The 2011-12 NFL season is only days away and fans are trying to score tickets to their favorite teams. Many are buying their tickets from the team’s website, venues and Ticketmaster, but there are a handful of teams whose tickets cannot be found in this way. A few come to mind, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and the New Orleans Saints. This is because all the seats are sold out, to long time season ticket holders, in the case of the Steelers this has been the situation for 30 years. So those that want to see any of these teams either have to be a season ticket holder, travel for the road game, watch on TV or buy from the secondary ticket marketplace (STM). Therefore, if one wants to see any of these teams home or away the STM is the only place to find tickets. The below rival games one should expect to see higher ticket prices when searching for tickets.
#1 New York Jets vs New England Patriots Home or Away. This started when current Head Coach of the Patriots Bill Belichick left the jets for the Patriots. The hate each other so prices will be high.
#2 Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Redskins. These are division rivals who compete each year for the title.
#3 Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys were once known as “America’s Team” but that has lost its luster over the years.
#4 Dallas Cowboys vs the San Fransisco 49ers. Anyone recall early 90′s NFC Championship games?
#5 Denver Broncos vs The Oakland Raiders. Division Rivals high price at home or away.
#6 New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts. Brady vs Manning and to a lesser extend Super Bowl hero for the Patriots Adam Vinatieri, who left the Pats for the Colts……..for the Money.
#7 Pittsburgh Steelers vs The Baltimore Ravens. They simple hate each other and at times I think more than just on the field.
#8 Pittsburgh Steelers vs The New England Patriots. Remember the Patriots first Super Bowl appearance in the early 2000′s? The rumor has it, that the Steelers felt they would walk all over the underdog Patriots in the AFC Championship game which was played in Pittsburgh. Steeler players made their reservation and other personal plans for when they beat the Pats….Before the game was even played……..Pats Won… and the Rivalry was born.
#9 New York Giants vs the New York Jets…rivals by default.
#10 Green Bay Packers vs the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay vs anyone in 2012, they are the Super Bowl Champs after all.
There are many more NFL rivals that could be listed but for the sake of length and attention span of most reader who scan articles (I am Guilty). I will leave it at 10 rivals.
